Animation and SEO-optimised web copy to raise the global profile of groundbreaking cancer diagnostics

The client

Vivan Therapeutics’ Personal Discovery Process (PDP) is a new approach to cancer treatment research, replicating a patient’s unique genetic profile and screening it against thousands of potential drug cocktails, before providing tailored recommendations. The company (formerly known as My Personal Therapeutics) also offers an instant treatment recommendation service, TuMatch, for patients with colorectal cancer.  

The challenge 

Cancer is a leading cause of death globally. Vivan’s pioneering diagnostic process, developed by The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, is based on years of clinical research.  

As a relatively new company and concept, Vivan needed to showcase the benefits of their approach to a wider audience and build greater brand awareness, enabling them to help more people living with cancer.

The approach

We carried out SEO keyword research to pinpoint the exact words and phrases people search for when exploring treatment options following a cancer diagnosis. These terms were then woven into the client’s web copy alongside additional copyedits, helping to ensure content appealed to each of Vivan’s audiences.  

As well as optimising the client’s website for SEO, we created two audiograms to be distributed across social media, featuring interviews with physicians involved in creating Vivan’s diagnostic process. 

An animated short explored the patient perspective, explaining the therapeutic benefit to patients of both the Personal Discovery Process (PDP) and the TuMatch tool.   

The animation was available in five translated languages: English, French, Spanish, Chinese and Arabic.  

This shareable, accessible content allowed us to outline Vivan’s work in a visually appealing and informative way.

The results

The animation was embedded on the client’s website and shared widely on their social media channels, providing an accessible way to reach a global audience and outline a complex process with simple terminology.  

Likewise, the audiograms were shared on social media, providing a valuable tool for brand promotion and giving the client added authority in the cancer diagnostics space.  

By optimising the web copy with appropriate keywords, Vivan Therapeutics’ main online platform is now better equipped to both gain more (relevant) clicks, and to provide core audiences with the information they need when they land on the site.

This will help Vivan reach their core audiences of patients, physicians and biopharma professionals.

They have since been featured in online publications and presented their solution to prospective global partners, as well as collaborating with The Institute of Cancer Research to design new precision cancer drugs.
