Sookio Director shortlisted for the British Business Awards

We’re delighted to announce that our Director, Sue Keogh, has been shortlisted for the British Business Awards 2019 in the Digital Communications Business Owner category.

As a finalist in the category, Sue is pleased to be recognised for her unwavering leadership, assured expertise and a focused drive for growth.

“A friend of mine says, ‘Every time I come to see Sookio, you’re moving things forward’,” says Sue. “And she’s right - with our revamped video and podcasting offering, the growth of Sookio School, and having created three new positions, it’s been a busy old year.

“We even managed to keep things business as usual despite the disruption caused this summer by the major fire next door. It takes a lot more than this to slow us down!”

Aside from running our thriving digital marketing agency, Sue’s a Sage Business Expert, RSA Fellow, Director of Cambridge 105 Radio, acclaimed speaker and trainer, founder and host of the Sookio School, host of CamCreatives and… the list gets longer and frankly, even we can barely keep up.

Have I mentioned the charity projects she gets involved in? Sue is also part of two homelessness initiatives, It Takes A City and the Cambridge chapter of Street Support. It’s work like this that led us to be runner up in the Community Business category of the SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards this summer.

About the awards

The British Business Awards recognize the importance of small and growing businesses in the UK, and the service providers supporting them. Last year, the combined turnover of the UK’s SMEs was £1.9 trillion and they are the driver for both innovation and employment.

The awards celebrate entrepreneurs and business personalities across a variety of industries, with 14 business and seven vendor categories.

When thy fate shall be known

The British Business Awards will take place on 30 October at Royal Lancaster in London. We’ll be following the awards closely and you can too, using the #BBAwards hashtag. We’re sure you’ll join us in cheering Sue on - good luck!
